Help us fundraise by returning your bottles and generously donating the proceeds!

Blind Beginnings is excited to announce our new ongoing fundraiser specifically designed for youth and families – a good, old-fashioned bottle drive that everyone can easily participate in!

We have partnered with Return-It, which allows us to make it quick and convenient for anyone and everyone to donate funds to Blind Beginnings while helping the environment at the same time!

Text reads "Turn This" over a picture of a collection of soda cans. An arrow points to a picture of a young boy wearing a rain slicker with a mobility cane walking down a sidewalk with the words "Into this" above it.

Every dollar raised for Blind Beginnings helps fund our programs and services that support and inspire BC children and youth who are blind or partially sighted.

Using Return-It Express is an incredibly simple and convenient way to contribute to this important fundraiser! You do not need to count or sort your containers at all - just bag them up and drop them off at any Return-It Express Depot located anywhere across British Columbia!

  1. Bring your unsorted containers in sealed, clear or transparent bags up to 90-litre capacity to an Express site (maximum 6 bags per visit).

  2. Use the Blind Beginnings phone number to log in at the kiosk: 604-434-7243.

  3. Print your tags, tag your bags, and leave them in the drop-off bin.

That’s it!

The containers will be sorted and counted, and the refund will be deposited into our online account.

TIPS

  • Don’t crush or flatten your beverage containers and don’t remove the labels! The depot needs the barcode to be readable.

  • Put only a maximum of 12 glass bottles in each bag to prevent breakage.

  • Use only clear and transparent plastic bags and avoid the drawstring-type bags.

  • Each bag needs its own tag. You can also print tags to take home for later.
