Early Beginnings is returning this September with monthly sessions taking place on the third Sunday of the month!
Our topic for September will be the use of fingers!
We will cover such topics and activities as:
• Finger puppets
• Communication with our fingers (Peace sign, Thumbs up/Thumbs down…)
• Finger play activities for idle hands
• Tapping and drumming, developing rhythm and cadence
• Finger dexterity and finger strength (tug of war…)
• Coordination and finger isolation (pulling on gloves)
• Finger play, arts & crafts activities
Our favorite story-teller, Adam, will also be joining in for the ever popular Accessible Story-Time!! This includes reading of illustrated stories with description and learning about word meanings.
In addition, this month we will have a representative from BC Blind Sports & Recreation talk about adding on a yoga element to our Early Beginnings time slot, or looking into the possibility of offering kids yoga as a separate session.
Please register by Tuesday, September 13th so we can make sure that you are on the list to receive the program Zoom link. Required activity materials will be mailed out to families who register.
